International Plaza and Bay Street is a shopping mall located in the Westshore business district of Tampa, Florida. The mall, which opened in 2001, was built to give travelers an option to shop and dine in high-class surroundings, while at the same time be able to stay near Tampa International Airport (which borders the property). In 2006, the Renaissance Hotel Tampa/International Plaza was opened on the premises, making International Plaza one of a handful of malls in the U.S. to have a hotel directly on the mall property.
About
The mall is anchored by the department stores Nordstrom, Dillard's, and Neiman Marcus.
Adjacent to mall itself are four corporate office towers; Corporate Center One, Two, Three, and Four. Center One was built in 1999, Center Two in 2001, and Center Three in 2004. Center Four, which encompasses 247,000 sq ft (22,900 m2) of office space, was completed in 2008. Corporate Centers One through Four are owned by Cousins Properties Incorporated, while the mall itself is owned by Taubman Centers.
Bay Street
Bay Street located on the Upper Level adjacent to the Food Court, is an open-air area with restaurants and bars open later than the mall.
Restoration Hardware's four-story design gallery, RH Tampa, is the first of its kind to open in Florida, and is located by The Capital Grille.
Section L
In 2008 International Plaza began working on a standalone project at the edge of their property along Westshore Boulevard. After many months of construction the mall opened the Bay area's first, multi-story Crate & Barrel along with upscale restaurant Ocean Prime. The tenants opened for business in May 2009 and the location was given the name Section L.
